Friends Connections Converge at the Joyce

In February, Grade 3 students took the L train west to the Joyce Theatre to see a performance by Music from the Sole, a tap dance and live music group that celebrate tap’s Afro-diasporic roots and connections to Afro-Brazilian dance and music. Their Dance Teacher Barry Blumenthal comments, “ What made it really special, besides being a great show, was that we got to see Orlando Hernández '08 perform”. The lighting design was by Parent of Alumni, Kathy Kaufmann P‘07.
