Learning Advocacy in Lower School

On January 24, Grade 4 students visited the United Nations Headquarters to get a first hand look at the role the organization plays around the world in protecting human rights, sustainability and peace. It also added meaning to the UN Sustainable Development Goals they are currently studying and the role they can play as young people to advance these goals. The Director of the Center for Peace Equity and Justice, Kara Kutner, who oversees the Global Education curriculum, comments, “In the coming weeks, as Global GoalKeepers they will share their knowledge with friends and family and invite them to learn more and join the effort help advance these critical goals.”
